Nevada Teacher Careers, Certification & Salaries
Nevada has one metropolitan area that is still recovering from a record decade of growth. The three cities of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson are one geographical cluster that contains two thirds of the state's population. Las Vegas was the fastest growing city in the nation for at least twenty years, until the housing bubble burst; currently it has a population of about 580,000 with 1.9 million people living in the metropolitan area. By comparison Reno has about 350,000 residents. These two areas are where the huge bulk of residents and public school students reside.
