Nebraska Teacher Careers, Certification & Salaries

Nebraska has ninety three counties, most of which have a set of school districts within it. Those districts are divided into five classes: Class 2, with less than 1,000 residents; Class 3, 1,001 to 99,999 residents; Class 4 with 100,000 to 199,999 residents (Lincoln Public Schools is the only district in this class); Class 5 with more than 200,000 residents, of which the Omaha Public School District is the only member; and Class 8, which are districts run by the state. Many of these districts remain rural, and many struggle to attract teaching talent. For new teaching professionals that are attracted to small learning environments, this state might have some interesting career options.
